INTRODUCTION Tubing retrievable Surface Control Sub-surface Safety Valve is a flapper type down hole safety valve which is mounted on the tubing. Working pressure is 5000psi with Equalizing feature. Safety Valve is connected to surface emergency shut-in system through a hydraulic control line. Safety Valve is in OPEN position when production with pressure applied to the control line. When emergency, the control line pressure is released from surface and the flapper is in CLOSE position to shut in the well. APPLICATION Safety Valve is a down hole flow control device, when emergency case happened on offshore facility, such as fire, pipeline broken etc. the Safety Valve can close automatically to ensure the control of the flow and Safety Valve is the most important part of the completion string of an offshore well.
